Frequently Asked Questions

What is involved in a day of rock climbing?

Our courses are catered specifically to the individual or group involved. There are some basic skills that every climber needs to know. These skills are covered in every course. After observing your first few climbs, your guide will be able to competently design the rest of the day around your personal goals and needs.

Do I need any prior experience?

No. Your instructor will have a good idea of what you're capable of and will take you to the routes on which you will be able to reach the top. We will do our best to make your first climbing trip fun and rewarding.

Is there a climbing area near Nashville?

There is a climbing area in Clarksville, TN, about 50 miles from the Nashville airport. This is only one of the many areas in which we guide.

Do you provide transportation?

No. Click here for directions to Clarksville. Click here for weather conditions.

Do you guide in any other areas?

Yes. There are several places in Tennessee that offer fantastic climbing along with aesthetic hiking. We also guide within the Daniel Boone National Forest in Eastern Kentucky. Click here to view the exact locations where we guide.

How high are the cliffs?

Between 30 and 60 feet.

What do I need to bring?

Tennis shoes and pants or modest shorts that do not restrict stepping up high. Bring a sack lunch and plenty of water. You will be provided with a small backpack which contains your helmet, shoes, harness, and belay device. Remember there is no extra fee for gear rental! Don't forget your camera!

Do you take kids?

Yes! Rock climbing is a great activity for families and youth groups. We have seen parents out climbing with kids as young as three years of age. We typically recommend a minimum age of five but you as the parent know best when your child is ready to try rock climbing.

Aren't I too old to rock climb?

No! There have been many climbers who began climbing well into their 50's. You're never too old to try something new or to get in shape. You can do it!

Can I pay my deposit online?
